I asked him if I could take a portrait, and led him away to the same dark alley where I’d gone with Frightened Rabbits.
I gushed about how his eyes sparkled when he performed on stage. He told me I was making him blush.
I remedied it all with a black and white conversion.

This is really really lovely. I saw them again the night you posted this picture, and one of the things I noticed was how when he stared out at the audience, his eyes completely did sparkle. This is getting all girly and gushy, sorry. But lovely photo!
