After being blown away by The Twilight Sad‘s epic performance last year in San Jose, I’d been eagerly anticipating their next bay area performance. Last week they finally returned, opening for Japanese noise pop band Mono.
It was a thoroughly enjoyable evening of an evening of intense guitars from bands based in lands far far away. Mono used no words in their performance, so why should I? Suffice to say, The Twilight Sad and Mono delivered a beautiful evening of guitar-based pop to make your ears bleed in the most pleasant of ways.
