I think time has a funny way of playing with memory, cause I just booked my hotel room for Sasquatch 2011. The Sasquatch 2011 line up was announced last night at the Showbox during the festival's launch party, which included free sets from the Thermals, Das Racist, and Mad Rad. Bands were unveiled in an animated short, with the crowd predictably reacting more strongly to the announcement of the lineup than to any of the three bands on stage. The Nationwide craze of music festivals keeps rolling with the announcement of the 2010 Sasquatch lineup. It's one of the first festivals of the festival season and happens May 29th-31st at The Gorge in Quincy, Washington. Sasquatch supports the up and comers of the Seattle music scene, which these days is surprisingly hip hop heavy; Shabazz Palaces and Fresh Espresso should expect to make a lot of new friends at the festival. 05.12.09Confirmed: I’m Shooting Sasquatch!No, I'm not going postal on Bigfoot. I'm shipping my six-year-old off to the grandparents and then I'm flying north to help Phil celebrate his Birthday and then I'm headed to the Gorge to photograph the Sasquatch Festival for three days. I'll be photographing for one of my favorite guys, Ice Cream Man. We're even going to try some new toys for live blogging and photo coverage from the festival. My shooting schedule is quite ambitious, 10 bands Saturday, 14 Sunday and 16 on Monday. I'm most looking forward to The Doves, M83, The Yeah Yeah Yeahs, and Animal Collective. ...
