Light Asylum Already Own 2012

While I was feeling sorry for myself on Valentine’s Day, the thing I probably love most right now, Light Asylum, released the dark, dramatic, and drop dead gorgeous new version of “Shallow Tears.” The B-side, “Genesis” sounds like it could be an album opener. One of the leaders for our 2012 favorites, Light Asylum are poised to make a major move this year. I wouldn’t be surprised if we saw them on Saturday Night Live or got to the level of recognition as say, M83. We report a lot about Light Asylum, and get used to it – their album is finally out on April 30th and there is a small tour too. We love them and can’t wait to see them own 2012. The new single is below, and available digitally from Mexican Summer and most digital outlets. Check out the slightly disturbing video for the original version of “Shallow Tears.”
