Dum Dum Girls – “Coming Down”

“Coming Down” is the fantastic first track from Dum Dum Girls’ much anticipated sophomore full-length, Only In Dreams. According to Stereogum, Lead singer Dee Dee calls the 6-minute song a “slowburner” and explains: “I won’t lie; it’s heart on sleeve. Have you ever numbed yourself to avoid pain only to oscillate between the subconscious and conscious? Ever felt compelled to address Life itself? Things can be so awful but at least they can also be bliss.”

This song as well as “Vomit” by Girls both have an sense of pain, beauty and honesty that keep both tracks in constant rotation.
