Well, we made it through Winter – although you wouldn’t notice here in Seattle on the first day of Spring 2012. While the rest of the U.S. is actually complaining about the heat in some places, our high here today is 45°. My inspiration for this mini mix was the transition from Winter Into Spring. The mix begins with Love Unlimited Orchestra’s “”It May Be Winter Outside (But in My Heart It’s Spring),” and goes right into Nina Simone’s classic, emotional take on “Here Comes The Sun.” The arrival of Spring is finally realized with the sunny Air France remix of “Spring” by Saint Etienne, who seem to be one of the constants of our COLORCASTs! “Spring Affair” by Donna Summer gets a re-edit from an old pal, Eugene Tambourine – it’s super sexy! Top it off with a remix of Houses’ “Eternal Spring” and “Springtime, Save Our Country” by my favorites, Mahogany, and you have yourself a mini mix lasting less than half an hour.
