How’s this for caveats?
I don’t live in Seattle (that’s Phil.) I’ve never had a Cupcake Royale (Kara‘s is my bay-area cupcake boutique of choice). However, I’m a sucker for free sweets (why do you think I shoot for Ice Cream Man?)
So I find it extremely blog-worthy that a new locavore-friendly cupcake store is expanding within blocks of Phil’s pad and offering free cupcakes on opening day. Yesterday, Cupcake Royale announced its new Capitol Hill location will open on Wednesday, July 22nd. The new location is in the spiffy new Tom Kundig-designed Eleven Eleven East Pike building at 1111 E Pike. Swanky!
Free strawberry “babycakes” will be handed out to anyone who’s willing to walk up to the counter and say “legalize frostitution.” Phil, I expect you there at 9am.
