Earlier this year two of my favorite songwriters, Courtney Barnett and Kurt Vile, put their brilliant and shaggy noggins together to release their collaborative album Lotta Sea Lice. They were on tour in the fall and I was sad to miss them play together live. I was so excited to find this NPR Tiny Desk Concert via Stereogum this morning. I’m a sucker for acoustic versions of songs, and this set does not disappoint. It’s a charming and informal set of four songs that includes their singles “Over Everything” and “Continental Breakfast.” The chemistry between these two guitar virtuosos is undeniable.
