White Poppy is a new-ish act from Vancouver and has been described as “free fall shoegaze.” Fans of Grouper, Slowdive, Broadcast, or The Cure (especially b-sides!) will enjoy Crystal Dorval’s sonic wonderlands. I think this is a fan video by TADZGRANT, but that makes no difference. The song is rad, and the video is a perfect match. I’ve included her version of Wham’s “Last Christmas,” and a link to the holiday themed album, whiteout curated by Miss Poppy herself. It’s a free download for an hour’s worth of arguably the coolest Christmas album out there this year!
