I’m being a little lazy here, but wanted everyone reading in Seattle to get out on Thursday night for a perfect evening. I have all but the last issue (ahem, guys) of I WANT YOU magazine, and it’s exactly what I want from print these days – visual art. Each issue is a mini art book which belongs next to the best of your exhibition catalogues and the lot. You’ll have to get a copy to know what I mean. It’s primarily a graphic magazine with URL information about the artist for each of the images. If you want to know more, you can find it. If you don’t, then buy PEOPLE. It seems to follow the unsaid Dumb Eyes mission statement, which probably reads something like, “We hope you like this.” Simply, simplicity at its best – and from Seattle. I walked by Bauhaus tonight and Brian Standeford’s show is hung, and looks amazing! The PENETRATION party at Sole Repair refuses to disappoint and Christian is the most fearless, and vinyl only, DJ in Seattle right now.
