Alison Moyet, from one of our favorites ever, Yazoo (or Yaz), is one of the 80’s most elusive and ubiquitous performers. She rarely puts out music, and the recent Yaz reunion, as amazing as the live shows were, didn’t produce any new material. Her fan following, especially among the Gay crowd, is very dedicated. We’re not 100% sold on her new single, but it’s also not awful, so we’re definitely along for the ride. She isn’t falling back on her husky alto, and is going for some higher notes on “Changeling,” definitely proving that she’s still got it.
