If you’ve followed my musical tastes for any length of time, you may know I have a soft spot for classic Americana and roots rock such as The Blasters and The Smithereens.
So imagine my surprise when I came across a tune that touched this chord by way of the Netherlands. The song is 24/7 and it’s from a band called Are You A Lion. It reminds me of some of The Walkmen’s recent work with winsome vocals and twangy guitars. Their self-titled full length was released in the Netherlands last November by Goomah Music.
