I was going to pull down the live video of this song I posted a couple of days ago after they released the damn thing with no fanfare today. I thought I’d leave it there as a chance for our listeners to compare the studio version to the live performance. Chromatics, as I said before, have really come into their own and their live show is flawless. They have an early Factory Records aesthetic in their live performance; minimal lighting, very little posturing and simple in their set up and delivery. The new album, also titled Kill for Love will be slightly delayed until January 2012, but the band has promised remixes, leaks and other surprises before the LP release. The official video and release of the “Kill For Love” single were unveiled today. Also today were details of a New Year’s Eve show in Los Angeles featuring Chromatics, Glass Candy, Desire, and DJ sets from the Italians Do It Better label co-head Mike Simonetti and friends. I really wanna go!
The three track “Kill For Love” single from Chromatics is available now at your favorite digital outlets.
