I’m a sucker for tortured romance, both in film and music. I think that’s what drew me into “Forget Me Not” by Thieves Like Us.
You may remember Thieves Like Us from our past song of the day, “Drugs in My Body” . And here’s a little known factoid. The band toyed with changing their name to “Factory Party” back in 2007, but it never stuck.Turns out that was another band, TLU.
The band explains the song:
Forget Me Not tells the bleak story of a petty thief who falls for a prostitute. The thief plans one last robbery so that he can start a new life with his love. Sadly the heist goes wrong and it seems love between the lowlifes is destined to fail.
