Anton Corbijn created some of the most iconic portraits, album covers and music videos of the last two decades. From the cover of U2’s The Joshua Tree to Nirvana’s “Heart-Shaped Box” video Corbijn has left and indelible mark on pop culture, and a huge dent in my bank account.
Thank goodness I’ve sold a few photos myself as of late, because I know where I’ll use the money. I’m every so excited to inform you that Corbijn is releasing yet another glorious coffee table tome via Schirmer-Mosel. This time in collaboration with Tom Waits. Titled “Waits/Corbijn” the book will be released Oct. 26 and will feature 160 pages, with 75 color and duotone plates. This collaborative work will contain not just portraits, but will also feature lyrics from several Waits albums.
