01.09.12Do This! Stephanie + Erik Blood at Neumo’s Tuesday January 10th, 2012We've been hinting on what we're excited about in 2012, And Seattle's Stephanie is right at the top of the list. Tomorrow night at Neumo's will be another chance to believe the deserved hype around these guys. They'll be playing songs from their upcoming One Glove mini-album, produced by another fellow on the bill, the oft name-dropped Erik Blood who also has a new record coming in 2012. Stephanie hits that pop v. experimental, 4AD button in me. I can't describe them other than to categorize it, and probably incorrectly, as post-punk. 10.10.09The Horrors Live!It's hard to believe every bit of hype you hear about bands these days. All these crazy blogs are dripping with overblown statements about how great the band du jour is - you can't always believe what you read. I was just as cautious upon entering Neumo's in Seattle last night to see The Horrors. Primary Colours is definitely one of the best albums of the year, but could they pull it off live?
