To mark the 25th anniversary of the cassette that launched a genre, Test Pressing is streaming NME’s C86 Mixtape.

When C86 was originally released, I remember thinking many of these bands were sappy copycats, neutering my old post-punk favorites like the Bunnymen and The Cure.
