Les Pattinson, the retired bassist for Echo and the Bunnymen, has been coaxed out of retirement to play two live shows for his mates, The Wild Swans.
According to the Wild Swans website, “After a 21-year absence, The Wild Swans will play two exclusive gigs at Static Gallery, Roscoe Lane in Liverpool on the 23rd & 24th July. Static is a small, intimate venue. Only 200 tickets are available for each night. The band will showcase songs from their forthcoming album The Coldest Winter for a Hundred Years as well as classics from their repertoire.”
Tickets available via The Wild Swans website. Oh how I’d like to go and see these shows. If we can find pix or video after the event, you know we’ll post them here. In the meantime here’s my favorite Wild Swans tune, Sea of Tranquility from 1990.
Hi,thanks for posting this. Just to let you know that Les is once again playing at The Wild Swans next gig on 11 December 2009 at Static Gallery in Liverpool. Tickets are £15.00 each from The Wild Swans website. The gigs in July were mesmeric. This one promises to be even better,
